I deffinetly made many friends and developed quite the eclectic musical taste. Looking back at it, i wouldnt have changed anything....well the morning practices yeah, but I think that helped add to my insanity.

I was there when we won our first ever Sweepstakes at the half-time show competition in Portland Ore in 1976. We stayed up until 330am waiting for our congratulatory pizza to arrive. By 7am we were up for the parade and despite our exhaustion came in 3rd out of 27 bands! It was awesome! Thank you Bob Moorefield for granting me the privilege to be a part of Foothill HS history! It's because of you that I now drive down the road blasting drum and pipe music from Scotland and play it as proudly as if it were Led Zeppelin! BTW... I just purchased a beautiful triple set of Matador congas and some bongos and "granite blocks" to go with them! The spirit lives on! Thanks again!

Being part of this band was paramount to me (and my family). It changed my life. It gave me a place to belong and I made life-long friends as a result. I learned the meaning of commitment. The joy is still irreplaceable, the dicipline learned has guided my path in life and my love for music in all genres has been unwavering ever since. Who can forget the passion Mr. Moorefield put into it? Not one of us. Who can forget the first trophy? No one can. Who can forget the first sweepstakes Foothill ever received? Not a single member! It was AWESOME! Thanks for the dedication, it will never be forgotten!
