Every year since 1974, on the 4th Saturday in October, the top high school bands in Northern California and Nevada have gathered in Pleasanton for the Foothill Band Review. On October 22, 2011, for the 37th time, we will carry on this grand tradition of hosting the biggest, most competitive, and best-run band review in our area of the country. And this year, once again, we’ll showcase Pleasanton and the Foothill Band Program as we welcome over 50 high schools for parade, concert and field show competitions.
Mark your calendar now! Bring grandparents, other family members, and friends. The high schools and middle schools parading down our Main St. is a wonderful sight and experience. The parade competition run from approximately 8:30am until 1:00pm in downtown Pleasanton. There will also be concert competitions during the morning at Amador High School. In the afternoon, the parade awards will be presented at the Foothill High School football stadium, starting around 3:00pm. The field show competition commences after the awards ceremony has concluded and lasts until 10:00pm, followed by the presentation of the field show competition and sweepstakes awards.
This year’s Parade will begin on Main Street at 8:30am and is free and open to the public.
The Field Show will be held at Foothill High School from 4pm - 10pm. General Admission is $10.
We are looking for trophy sponsors for the Band review.
