The Foothill Dynasty
The Foothill High
School Marching Band is one of the most successful high school bands in the
state of California. In the past 32 years, the band has won nearly
1,000 Sweepstakes awards and 1st place trophies. We also have the
prestigious honor of representing Northern California five times in the
Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. No other Northern California band
holds this honor. Other performances include the Fiesta Bowl
in January 2005, the Portland Rose Festival, Hawaii Music Festival, and the Hyack Festival in Vancouver, B.C.
Under the
direction of Bob Moorefield, we feature, in addition to our
marching band and color guard, two jazz bands, winter percussion and guard,
wind ensemble, symphonic band, and concert band. |

Canada Chaperone Meeting-Mandatory
for all Canada Chaperones- Wednesday, May 7th in Valerie
Rossman's Photography room F-1 at 7:00pm. All chaperone
assignments and duties will be given out at this meeting. Do not
miss it! |

Vallejo Band Review-Saturday,
May 10, 2008- Buses depart Foothill at 7:45 am. Parade formation
is at 10:40 am, step off is at 11:10am. Symphonic Band performs at
12:15pm, Jazz A at 2:10pm, and Wind Ensemble at 3:50pm. Buses
return to school at 8:00pm. |

Winter Championship results are in! "A"
Guard is the NCBA Champion for the Open Division! "B"
guard took 4th place in the Scholastic Division, while Percussion placed
3rd in the Open Percussion Division. Great jobs one and all! |

All students and chaperones who are going on
the Canada trip must fax in their completed Passenger Immigration Forms
and turn it in to Mr. Moorefield,
which were handed out this week, by this Friday morning, April 11.
Note, the fax number is listed on the form. |

and guardians wishing to chaperone on the Canada Trip or any other
school sponsored event and have not already
filled out the
school district volunteer form for this year must fill out
the attached form and turn it in ASAP. |
